Cultural cooperation opportunities with Japan discussed with Ambassador

Deputy Culture Minister Vasiliki Kassianidou discussed “opportunities for cultural cooperation” with Japanese Ambassador to Nicosia Yoshio Yamawaki on Tuesday.

Writing after the meeting on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, Kassianidou expressed her “joy” at having held the meeting and said “we share common goals for the promotion of our cultures.”

She added that she had discussed opportunities for cooperation in matters related to crafts, dance, music, theatre, cinema, and animation, and described the discussion as “productive”.

“[I am] looking forward to strengthening our ties with Japan,” she said.
