Biker hospitalised after accident

Paphos General Hospital

A 25-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a car accident in Paphos.

According to police spokesman, Michalis Ioannou, on Sunday around 4pm, a 75-year-old driver, in her attempt to enter a lane, allegedly collided with a large-capacity motorcycle, driven by a 25-year-old.

The injured 25-year-old was taken by private car to the A&E Department of the Paphos General Hospital.

According to the doctor on duty, he had suffered multiple fractures in various parts of the body and was kept for further treatment at the hospital but had been saved from head injury by wearing a protective helmet.
