Today’s weather: Showers, cooler temps

On Monday the weather will start off mostly clear with locally increased clouds expected to bring isolated rains in the west. From midday onwards the weather will turn partly to mainly cloudy with showers expected in the highlands and the eastern half of the island. Winds will be mainly south-westerly to north-westerly, light to moderate up to 4 Beaufort and locally up to strong, 5 Beaufort. The sea will be a slightly rough. Temperatures will rise to 30C in the interior, 28C on the south and north coasts, 27C on the remaining coasts and 20C in the higher mountains.

Overnight the weather will be mainly clear, with some low cloud mainly in the west and north. Winds will be mainly south-westerly to north-westerly, light to moderate, up to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to 17C in the interior, 20C on the coast and 11C in the higher mountains.

On Tuesday, increased cloud cover is expected to bring isolated rains mainly in the mountains after noon, while on Wednesday and Thursday the weather will be mostly sunny.

Temperatures will rise noticeably, reaching slightly above the average for the season.
