Couple detained for illegal possession of firearm munition

The Paphos district court issued detention orders against a husband and wife, 41 and 31 years old, for illegal possession of explosives, methamphetamine and stolen goods.

According to the police statement, on Sunday evening police entered the couple’s residence with a search warrant and found four cartridges for a military firearm. Additionally, police found 0.3 grams of crystalline substance, similar to methamphetamine as well as goods for which no adequate explanation for possession was given.

The man and woman appeared before court on Monday where they were ordered to be detained for four and two days respectively.
