Over 100 irregular migrants detected off Cape Greco

A total of 102 irregular migrants were detected on three separate boats off the coast of Cape Greco on Tuesday.

The first boat was spotted at 2:15pm around 10 nautical miles off the coast of Cape Greco, with 76 people on board.

The second, spotted at 4:20pm around 17 nautical miles off the coast of Cape Greco, had 19 people on board.

The people aboard the first two boats have been brought ashore to the Ayia Napa marina.

The third boat was spotted at 5:30pm around seven nautical miles off the coast of Cape Greco, with seven people on board.

According to the latest available information, all seven people are still at sea, with a police operation underway aimed at bringing them ashore.
