Britney Spears breaks silence after documentary airs

Pop star Britney Spears, 39, has taken to Instagram to share a message with fans, sharing a video of herself performing ‘Toxic’ onstage and writing: “I’ll always love being on stage … But I am taking the time to learn and be a normal person … I love simply enjoying the basics of everyday life! Each person has their story and their take on other people’s stories! We all have so many different beautiful lives.”

The message comes after the release of the controversial documentary, ‘Framing Britney Spears’, which looks at mistreatment she faced in the press, as well as her breakdown in 2007.

The lapse in her mental health led to her conservatorship in 2008, whereby her father Jamie gained control over her estate, over concerns about her mental health.

Today, Spears’ career remains on hold while she tries to remove him as her conservator, a role he has held for 12 years.
