Omonia defeat Enosis with late goal by new signing Scepovic

Omonia joined Apollon at the top of the table after their slender but deserved 1-0 win over Enosis in Paralimni while in the other game, bottom placed Ethnikos Achnas defeated Olympiakos by 2-1 giving them a glimmer of hope in avoiding relegation.

Omonia had to wait till the 80th minute for new boy Marco Scepovic to mark his debut with the winning goal.

Enosis almost snatched a point right at the end  but were denied by Omonia’s goalkeeper Fabiano who somehow managed to push Ngoo’s goalbound effort behind for a corner.

A goal by Majdevac In the 7th minute of added time gave Ethnikos Achas the three points against Olympiakos.

Ethnikos had taken the lead in the 74th minute through Papageorgiou but Olympiakos equalized eight minutes later through Kostov.
