Copies for cash: how ‘Max the Forger’ faked famous art

In this video we meet Max Brandrett a.k.a. ‘Max the Forger’. For 40 years, he specialised in faking the world’s most expensive art and selling it for a fortune. He even sold a piece to notorious East End villains Ronnie and Reggie Kray.

Today, having endured a spell in prison for his crimes, he’s changed his ways… but that doesn’t stop him explaining here exactly how he created brand new paintings, whilst making them look like famous antiques.
