Tourist on quad bike falls off cliff in Akamas

Τραυματισμός τουρίστα με τετρατροχη στον Ακάμα

A 33-year-old tourist was rescued by helicopter after falling down a 50 metre cliff in Akamas on Tuesday while riding a quadbike.

The accident happened in the Akamas area of Kakoskali at about 12:30pm. According to police, the man suffered broken legs but otherwise appears to not be in a serious condition.

Police, who had to send a helicopter torescue the man said an investigation was an underway into the circumstances of the accident.

The location at which the incident occurred has previously been the scene of fatal incidents, as there are no railings on the side of the road.
