Police arrest 17-year-old linked to football incidents

Police on Tuesday arrested a 17-year-old resident of Limassol suspected of being involved in incidents unfolded after the football match between Apollon and Nea Salamina on December 17 at Alphamega Stadium.

Testimony gathered by the police linked the 17-year-old to the incidents, leading to an arrest warrant issued against him.

The individual was found and taken into custody. He is currently awaiting his remand.

Meanwhile, police are still on the lookout for six other individuals related to the same case. Photos of the wanted individuals have been made public for identification and locating purposes.
