Police suspect arson after car fire in Yeroskipou

Police suspect arson as the cause of a car fire which took place in the Paphos village of Yeroskipou on Wednesday.

The fire broke out at around 7:30pm in a car belonging to a 55-year-old woman. The burning car was noticed by the woman’s neighbour, who called the police and the fire brigade.

Police on Thursday said the vehicle suffered extensive damage due to the fire. They added that the fire appears to have been arson, and that their investigation into the matter is ongoing.
