Police searching for four people after armed robbery

Two people were beaten and robbed in Paphos on Tuesday night, after eight people broke into their home and threatened them with guns, knives and bats.

Police are now searching for four people in connection to the incident, aged 23, 25, 26 and 26.

According to Paphos police chief Michalis Nicolaou, at around 11pm, officers received information there were two injured people at a specific building in Paphos. At the scene, the two injured men, aged 20 and 24, told police that at around 9:45pm, eight people broke into their home.

They were carrying guns, knives and bats. After attacking the two men, the perpetrators stole two mobile phones and €500.

Friends took the two to the hospital. The 20-year-old was injured in the left shoulder while the 24-year-old sustained injuries to his left palm. They were released from hospital after receiving first aid.

Paphos police continues investigations.
