In an announcement on platform X (formerly Twitter), the ministry said that following a relevant proposal submitted to the council of ministers, the date for submitting a tax return for the 2022 tax year, as well as the deadline for paying the tax due, has been extended until October 31, 2023 at 23:59.

The original deadline for filing tax returns was October 2.

Employees, those retired and the self-employed, whose gross total income for the year 2022 is greater than €19,500 are required to submit a 2022 personal income statement.
