Limassol municipality is subsidising the purchase of 120-litre household bins throughout the city, as part of its effort to improve rubbish collection, it said on Thursday.

Residents can secure the bins for the subsidised price of €10 by filling out a form and presenting a copy of their rubbish bill.

The bins are available at the municipal market, which operates every Saturday on Giorgos Thyrotou Street, as well as at the municipal market in the Industrial Area of Ypsonas on Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 1.30pm.

The municipality is calling on residents to take advantage of the subsidy “thereby contributing to the municipality’s effort to make the city as clean as possible”, it said.
