Coronavirus: 420 more vaccine slots open on Friday for over 80s

An additional 420 appointments for coronavirus vaccinations for next week will be opened up on Friday January 15, the health ministry has announced.

This concerns the vaccination centre in Lakatamia, located on the premises of the Lakatamia Health Centre.

Only persons aged 80 and above are eligible to book an appointment.

The appointments portal will go live at 6am on Friday, with 420 slots up for grabs.

Appointments are made via the Gesy portal (https://www.gesy.org.cy/).

The jabs for this round of appointments will be administered on January 19, 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28.
In general, the vaccination centre in Lakatamia will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

A representative of an elderly person may make the appointment on their behalf. Appointments can also be arranged through personal physicians.
