Coronavirus: Police issue 132 fines

Police booked 128 individuals and four establishments for failing to comply with coronavirus measures in 24 hours from 6am Tuesday until 6am Wednesday, carrying out nearly 4,000 checks in Nicosia and more than 3,500 in Limassol.

In Nicosia, the number of inspections conducted was 3,984, in Limassol 3,543, in Larnaca 1,075, in Paphos 1,170, in Famagusta 1,502 and in the Morphou region 889.

The rapid response unit carried out an additional 78 checks, traffic police 469 and marine police 18.

Sixty of the 128 individuals were booked in Nicosia.
