Coronavirus: 19 individuals, 5 businesses fined for breaking decree

Police reported 19 individuals and five establishment owners or managers for violating protective measures to contain the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in the 24 hours to Monday 6.00 am.

A total of 3070 checks were carried out of which 965 in Nicosia where four individuals and two shop owners were booked. There were 229 checks in Limassol, resulting in six individuals booked. Two individuals and one shop owner were booked in Larnaca after 618 checks while in Paphos 218 checks resulted in two individuals and two shop owners being fined. In

in Famagusta 448 checks were carried out with five individuals fined, while 151 checks were made in Morphou with no fines issued.

The Traffic Departments and the Marine and Port Police carried out 139 and 302 respectively
