The Larnaca club re-established their two point lead in the standings after second-placed Anorthosis beat Nea Salamina 1-0 on Sunday.
The Famagusta club left it late as Joao Victor scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot in the 90th minute.
Elsewhere, champions Apoel are up to third following a 2-1 home win over Ermis on Saturday, while fifth-placed Apollon were superb in a 6-0 thrashing of Pafos FC.
Limassol side AEL are also doing well in fourth following a 2-1 away win over Aris on Sunday.
In other games, Alki Oroklini beat Ethnikos Achnas 2-1, while Doxa celebrated a 3-1 win over Olympiakos Nicosia.
