The infectious diseases committee in the north has relaxed some coronavirus measures in the north.

According to Turkish Cypriot media, most schools in the north will open as of Monday. This is apart from those in the Ayios Epiktitos and Vasilia areas of Kyrenia, which will continue to operate online.

Teachers and students who live in these areas but go to schools in other areas will not be allowed to go.

In the same areas bars, clubs and restaurants will remain closed as will cinemas, betting shops, beauty parlours, gyms and tattoo shops.

Restaurants and other hospitality venues can only operate a take away service.
