Boy loses finger in firecracker explosion

An 11-year-old has been transferred to a private Paphos hospital as he lost a finger in a firecracker explosion late on Wednesday evening.

The minor also suffered serious injuries to two other fingers and is due to undergo surgery.

The Polis Chrysochous police station was informed of the incident, with the boy’s father stating that the minor claims to have found the firecracker on the road.
