Police investigations are focused on the “personal circumstances” of the man who was found in a pool of blood in Xylotymbou on Tuesday.

In addition, Famagusta police spokesman Steve Theodoulou confirmed that the man, 34, had suffered “multiple skull fractures” and is still in an “extremely critical” condition at the Nicosia general hospital.

The man’s home has been cordoned off with forensic teams working on the scene.

However, he said there is “nothing concrete” in the evidence gathered so far.

The man, who was initially believed to be 37 years old, was found by a relative in his Xylotymbou home on Tuesday afternoon before being taken to hospital.
