GREEK Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will arrive on an official visit to Cyprus on Monday, following an invitation extended by President Nicos Anastasiades.
During his one-day stay, Tsipras will hold talks with Anastasiades and will meet with the leaders of all the parliamentary parties.
It is Tsipras’ first trip abroad as Prime Minister.
A previously scheduled visit to Athens on Tuesday by Foreign minister Ioannis Kasoulides has been cancelled.
Tsipras will depart the island on Tuesday, heading to Rome where he will meet with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.
Tsipras’ Syriza party swept to power in snap elections held in Greece on Sunday, vowing to shake up his country’s bailout agreement with international lenders and roll back harsh austerity measures.
