Now is the season for outdoor film screenings, starting in in Paphos at Technopolis 20 Cultural Centre on Tuesday.
The outdoor screenings aim to promote the work of Cypriot directors, with screenings every Tuesday at 8.30pm during July, August and September.
The first film to be shown is the documentary Our Wall/ Duvarimiz, directed by Niyazi Kizilyurek and Panikos Chrysanthou. The documentary brings together footage and memories told by Cypriots from both sides of the island.
The screenings continue on July 12 with four short films, including Afterthoughts directed by Christina Georgiou, Random Attempts directed by Dogus Ozokutan and Vasvi Cificioglu, Christos Nikolaou’s Boomerang, Austerity by Renos Gavria and Anorak by Alexandra Matheou.
Two films that stand out from the rest of the programme are The Cypriot Fiddler by Nicoletta Dimitriou (on August 9) and Commited by Stelana Kliris (on September 6).
