Cash in bag stolen

A man was injured and €670 were stolen on Tuesday night in Nicosia.

The victim, a 57-year-old man, reported to police he was at the entrance of the building where he lives when at around 11.15pm three men attempted to grab his bag.

He tried to resist and as a result injured his hand. The suspects grabbed the bag which contained €670 in cash and fled.

The injured man was treated at Nicosia general hospital and released.

He described two of his attackers as well built and about 1.70m tall and the third as thin and short. All three of them were wearing hoods.
