A path to the sea: trekking to tucked-away Zapalo beach

Always up for a challenge, in this video members of the Idyllic Cyprus Travel group make their way down to the wild sands of Zapalo beach, also known as Tripiti. And what a descent it is, opening up into a breathtaking panorama of sky and sea!

Situated not far from the Sanctuary of Apollo Hylates, at the Bay of Episkopi, the beach is almost invisible from the main road, nestled as it is beneath the edge of a high cliff.

Unsurprisingly, getting down to the beach from the road takes some effort, following a winding dirt path with a considerable incline. But, once at Zapalo beach, the serenity of its waters, the surrounding rocks and the cliffs framing its shore, make the mini expedition well worth it.
