This past year has undoubtedly been different. The pandemic has brought a lot of changes to our daily lives and culture. Two of Partners’ biggest clients decided to address the public through marketing campaigns that will touch everyone’s heart.

Christmas carols are a strong and charming part of our festive tradition. They have filled our homes with a message of faith, hope and optimism no matter the hardships faced. We will hold onto that same message as we go through these difficult days brought on by the pandemic.

Cypriot carols will sound in our homes yet again, performed by the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra and the SymphoPedia children’s choir, both supported by Opap Cyprus. The children’s performance, accompanied by images from around Cyprus, offers a strong message of support, conveying belief and good cheer during these difficult times.

The ability to communicate with one another is powerful and crucial at important moments. This is why Cyta is sharing this ability with people who need it the most. The second wave of the pandemic has created the need for further social distancing, keeping people away from those they love.

Cyta knows very well how liberating and crucial to communication technology can be so they have partnered with the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Health to boost the capacity for people in care homes and children’s social welfare homes.

Under this framework and after the public bodies reviewed 80 spots around the island for potential telecommunications improvements, Cyta will move ahead with the free upgrade of their current broadband speeds. Cyta will also provide mobile phone services free of charge for a period of six months wherever applicable.

At the same time, in collaboration with the State Health Services organisation (Okypy), healthcare workers will be able to use their mobile phone plans free of charge, whether through existing contracts or SoEasy pay-as-you-go plans, for December and January. Through the ‘Keep in Touch’ campaign, Cyta shows that it understands that communication can bring us all closer together.
