Calls for Cyprus government to restart minor football leagues

Cyprus
The Cyprus Football Association and the Pancyprian Footballers Association released a joint statement on Wednesday

The Cyprus Football Association (CFA) and the Pancyprian Footballers Association (PASP) released a joint statement on Wednesday calling on the government to allow minor football leagues across the island to restart and be taken to completion.

According to the statement, both CFA and PASP presidents, Giorgos Koumas and Spyros Neofitides discussed the stoppage imposed on football by the government in a recent teleconference.

During the discussion, the two exchanged views on specific issues and reflected on what could be the next steps to take in order for football in Cyprus at the lower levels to resume.

The common position of both organisations is that all football championships, regardless of the level, should resume and be completed in full on the field.
