Five technologies helping us explore oceans’ ‘inner space’

The ocean is the largest ecosystem on Earth, but it’s still mostly unexplored, and referred to as ‘inner space’. This is partially due to the challenges of ocean exploration, like bone-crushing pressure as we descend and the need for oxygen.

But exploration is still possible, thanks to technology. Here are five ways tech is helping us discover the unplumbed depths of our vast marine environment.
