Paphos police on Sunday arrested a driver in possession of a large number of rosaries who also tested positive for drugs.

At around 7.45pm, following a tip off, officers stopped a car driven by the 21-year-old man in Paphos and searched the vehicle.

They found a large number of rosaries inside the car.

The driver could not explain why he was in possession of the items and was arrested.

A test carried out after his arrest indicated he had been driving under the influence of drugs.
