A total of 371,430 Covid-19 jabs have been administered so far, the health ministry said on Tuesday as the portal opened for those aged 27 and 28.

Between 7.30 to 9.30am, some 5,796 out of 9,700 vaccination appointments were booked by the age group, the health ministry said.

By 11 am, the number was up to more than 7,000 appointments, the deputy ministry of innovation said. The portal will remain open until 8.00pm, it added.

In an announcement, the deputy ministry acknowledged that up to 9.00 am “technical issues” had affected the speed of service, but the portal operated smoothly after that.

Earlier, users complained of delays with the portal in some cases mistakenly showing a warning suggesting the user assigned a representative to arrange an appointment.

The health ministry said that 371,430 vaccination doses were administered as of May 10 (42.2 doses per 100 population), including 87,166 people, or 11.8 per cent, who completed their vaccination.

On Wednesday, people aged 25 and 26 will be able to book an appointment between 7.30am to 5.30pm.

Meanwhile, 9,419 people aged 29 and 30 booked appointments on Monday, out of the 12,600 slots available.
