Coronavirus: Jab portal open but strike affects some Monday appointments

The Covid-19 vaccination portal will remain open until 17.30 on Saturday for those aged 28-32 to make an appointment, the health ministry said on Saturday.

According to the ministry’s schedule, the portal will then open between Monday and Tuesday for those aged 23-27, between Wednesday and Thursday for those aged 18-22 and on Friday and Saturday for the over 40s.

However, the ministry warned that due to the strike announced for Monday by some nursing staff, the vaccination centres at Larnaca port B, Limassol’s Spyros Kyprianou B and the vaccination centre at Famagusta general hospital G will not be operating.

Those who have an appointment scheduled for Monday at those centres will be informed by Sunday via text message of a new appointment date.
