Constantia Cinema’s summer screening marathon returns this summer to Nicosia with local, European and international films. Running from July to September, more than 20 films will be screened at the outdoor cinema.

Kickstarting the summer’s screenings is popular and award-winning film Nomadland on July 14. It was awarded Best Motion Picture, Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role, and Best Achievement in Directing in 2020’s Academy Awards. It will be on again on August 13.

Screenings will be on Wednesday to Sunday every week with different films each night, though all films will be shown twice. Several other award-winning or Oscar-nominated films are part of this summer’s agenda including Federico Fellini’s I Vitelloni and Kaouther Ben Hania’s The Man Who Sold His Skin.

The sole Cypriot production to be screened is Siege on Liperti Street by Stavros Pamballis and it is the only film that will be screened three times, on July 17, 18 and September 9. The film has received several awards including the People’s Choice Award and the FIPRESCI Award at the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival.

Bringing an all-inclusive atmosphere to its summer screenings, Constantia’s film selection comes from all over the world, with works screened in their original language with subtitles in Greek or English. Tickets can be purchased online at www.tickethour.com.cy as well as from Theatro Ena.
