Two arrests after drugs found

Two men, aged 37 and 38, were arrested late on Sunday on suspicion of illegal possession of property and drugs.

Following a tip-off, officers stopped the car of the two men for a check in Paphos.

Police, who carried out a body search of the 38-year-old driver of, found a small quantity of meth in his possession.

They also found other items, including a copper roll and a solenoid valve system, during a search in the car, for which the suspects could not provide sufficient explanation.

A knife with an 8.5cm blade was also confiscated from the car’s glove compartment, which also belonged to the 38-year-old driver, police said.
