Seen a flamingo lately?

Larnaca Salt Lake (Photo Christos Theodorides)

A PHOTOGRAPHIC competition with the theme ‘Flamingos in Larnaca’ is being organised by the Larnaca tourism board in light of the recent arrival of around 10,000 flamingos on the town’s salt lake.

Each photographer is allowed to submit one photo online until January 31, 2016. The pictures must be taken during the current winter season.

The contest is open to all photographers, both amateur and professional, from Cyprus and abroad.

From February 4 the competition will be available online for voting at .

Three awards will be given and three honourable mentions. The first prize will receive €500, the second €200 and the third €100.
