EBRD to conduct business feedback survey in Cyprus

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is launching the sixth round of Business Environment and Enterprise Performance Survey (BEEPS) in Cyprus.

An EBRD press release said the survey`s purpose is to receive feedback from businesses regarding conditions in the private sector in each country through the assessment of restrictions in private sector development and business environment.

The survey will be conducted in each of the participating countries through interviews with business representatives from the fields of manufacturing and services.

The work of data collection through interviews with randomly selected companies will continue until May has been assigned to local market survey companies Cypronetwork and Lipa Consultancy.
The EBRD announced that the preliminary results will be announced in the second half of 2016.

These results along with additional information from other analyses will constitute the grounds for policy recommendations to the government aiming at promoting investments, productivity and economic growth.

The topics covered in the survey is innovation and technology adoption, competition, personnel skills, informal employment, access to financial services, infrastructures and impact of government regulation will be comparable on a global scale, the EBRD press release concluded.
