Car overturns and burst into flames, passengers escape

The fire services said on Sunday they were called out in the early hours when a car overturned on the Larnaca to Ayia Napa road, skidded into a field and burst into flames.
The two people in the car, men aged 22 and 24, managed to get out before the blaze took hold. The 24-year-old passenger was being treated for a head injury but the 22-year-old driver escaped unscathed.
The accident was reported at 5.50 am to the Larnaca fire service. Fireman said the blaze was put out by 6.16am
‘The driver of the vehicle had lost control and the car overturned,” a statement from the service said. “The vehicle burst into flames and suffered extensive damage.”
