Sheftalia recalled due to salmonella

The ministry of health on Thursday recalled a batch of Tasoulla Spitisia Fagita frozen pork sheftalia after it detected salmonella.

The production date for the contaminated batch is January 31, 2017, and the best-by date July 30, 2017.

The packages weigh 600g and are packed in soft plastic with a nylon cover.
Health services have already informed the company that manufactures and supplies the product about the incident and demanded the immediate withdrawal of the batch from the market.

Consumers are urged not to eat the sheftalia and to return it to the shop they bought it from.
The health and veterinary services are working together to further investigate the issue.
