Tip-off leads to drug arrests

A drug squad operation in Anthoupoli early on Monday morning led to the arrest of two men, aged 23 and 35, when 250g of cannabis and 5.8g of cocaine were found in the car they were in, while another two kilos of cannabis was later found in the 23-year-old’s residence.

The arrests followed a tip-off to the drug squad who pursued the two men to the car in Anthoupoli.

The men were arrested after officers searched the car and found 250g of cannabis, 5.8g of cocaine, one precision scale, three mobile phones and €3,500.

The home of the 23-year-old was then searched, where officers found another two kilos of cannabis in two containers.
