Some roads closed for Nicosia marathon

Some roads in Nicosia were closed on Sunday while the Nicosia Marathon is being staged.

The following roads will be closed until 2pm:

Strovolos Avenue – from the pedestrian crossing near the town hall up to the junction with Archiepiskopos Kyprianos Avenue.
Presidential Palace Avenue
Demosthenis Severis Avenue
Kratinou street
Glafkou street
Arsinoe street
Armenia street up to the junction with Ifigenia street
Ifigenia street from the junction with Stasinos Street
Stasinos street
Ayia Paraskevi street
Ayiou Antoniou street
Limassol Avenue, from the intersection of the Aluminum Tower to the CyBC junction
Evros street
San Souci street
Kyriakos Matsis Avenue, from the junction with Glafkou street
Athalassa Avenue until the intersection with G. Paraskevaidis – Iosif Hadjiiosif Avenues
Iosif Hadjiiosif Avenue to Demokratias street (next to Zorbas bakery)

Parking in these streets during the marathon will not be allowed.

The organisers of the Marathon apologise for the inevitable discomfort that will be caused and invite the public to demonstrate the necessary understanding and comply with the road signs and the instructions of the police.
