More than 70 per cent of vaccination appointments were booked an hour after they became available for people aged 66 and older, the health ministry said on Saturday.

Some 8,934 appointments were made available through the online vaccination portal from 8am on Saturday to 7pm on Sunday.

By 9am, 6,270 people booked appointments, the ministry said.

Appointments concern vaccination centres nationwide.

From Monday, the vaccination centre in Pasydy building will relocate to the arrivals area at Larnaca port where 11 units can operate simultaneously, the health ministry said.
