Man, 70, dies after car crashed into guard rail

A 70-year-old man, Michael Agathocleous from Lakatamia, died after a traffic accident on the Nicosia- Evrychou road on Thursday morning.

According to police, Agathocleous appeared to have lost control of his car, deviated from his course and crashed into a guard rail. Investigations are ongoing.

He was confirmed dead at the Nicosia General Hospital. The cause of death will be determined after a legal post-mortem is performed.
