Remand after multiple stabbing attacks

Paphos district court has remanded two people aged 23 and 24 for five days in connection with a stabbing incident over the weekend.

According to police, at around 6pm on Friday, a 26-year-old and 18-year-old were at a communal area of an apartment block in Paphos and were attacked by a number of people, sustaining multiple injuries.

The two were taken to Paphos general hospital and held for treatment, though they are out of danger.

Two hours after the incident, a number of people entered the home of a 29-year-old and two 24-year-olds in the same apartment block the earlier attack took place.

The three were stabbed and sent to Paphos general hospital for treatment. The eldest was discharged while the two required treatment though they are out of danger.

Paphos police secured evidence against one of the two injured 24-year-olds as well as a 23-year-old. They were arrested on Saturday and remanded by Paphos district court for five days.

Investigations continue.
