Arrest for gun possession

A 25-year-old Limassol resident was arrested on Wednesday after a gun and ammunition were found in his home, police said on Thursday.

According to a police statement, the man was initially arrested after a search at his home, in Limassol, by members of anti-narcotics police unit (Ykan).

During the search, they found a revolver, inside of which there were eight pellets. These were seized as evidence and are expected to be sent for scientific examinations.

The 25-year-old man was subsequently arrested and taken into custody to facilitate investigations.

Limassol CID is investigating the case.
