Police said on Friday they arrested a 34-year-old man who broke into a 48-year-old woman’s flat claiming he was chased by five people.

According to Paphos CID chief and police spokesman Michalis Nicolaou, the man broke into the house of the woman in Chlorakas in his attempt to escape from the five people with whom he has personal differences.

At some point, the man pushed the woman, who fell and suffered abrasions to some parts of her body.

Shortly after arresting the 34-year-old for illegal entry and causing bodily harm, police received information on two of the five supects chasing him.

Police found and arrested a suspect, aged 29, later on Thursday who was remanded for three days. A second suspect, aged 31, is also wanted in relation to the case.

The other three remain at large and police have not received further information on their identities.
