Wang Lü among the peaks, Ming paintings of Mount Hua

In this video, art historians Dr. Kristen Loring Brennan and Dr. Steven Zucker introduce us to a delicate work by the Chinese landscape painter, calligrapher, poet and physician Wang Lü, who was active during the time of the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644).

‘Landscapes of Mount Hua (Huashan)’ is an album sheet from the series: ‘Forty Views of Hua Shan’, and is executed as ink on paper, and exhibited at the Shanghai Museum of Art and History.
