Bases call for more visitors to Akrotiri environment centre

The administration of the British Bases on Monday called on people to make use of the Akrotiri Environmental Education Centre to find out about the important environmental and cultural features of the Akrotiri Peninsula.

“During weekends, families are especially invited to explore our interactive exhibits, enjoy the shaded playground, walk through the botanic garden, and do activities such as drawing and painting, creating items with modelling clay, exploring nature using microscope and taking part in quizzes,” the statement said.

The opening hours of the centre are 7.30am to 2pm on weekdays and 9am to 1pm on weekends.

The centre is located in the village of Akrotiri, on the main road towards RAF station.
