Man arrested for firing shotgun outside café

Police arrested a 53-year-old man on Monday night for firing a shotgun into the air outside a coffee shop in Pallouriotissa.

According to police statement, around 4:00 pm on Monday, the 53-year-old drove his vehicle to the café and asked to speak to the owner.

When the owner came out he saw the man getting out of his vehicle holding the shotgun.

The 53-year-old allegedly fired a shot into the air and the two men had an interaction, after which the 53-year-old left the scene.

Police issued an arrest warrant against the man and he was taken into custody.
