Law simplifying installation of photovoltaics welcomed by Keve

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Keve) on Friday welcomed the law simplifying the procedure for the installation of photovoltaic panels, saying the amendment will promote renewable energy sources.

In its statement, Keve said it has strongly supported the amendment of the law “which is a further step towards a faster realization of the goal of transition to green energy.”

One of the biggest problems for those wishing to install photovoltaic panels is lengthy and unnecessary bureaucratic procedures, Keve said.

It explained the passing of the Law on Roads and Building Regulations simplifies the procedure for the installation of photovoltaic systems since it will no longer require the issuance of a building permit for the installation of photovoltaic systems on the roofs of an existing licensed building.

“The amendment of the law is expected to achieve faster promotion of renewable energy sources for the benefit of consumers,” the chamber noted.
