The annual solar car challenge in Cyprus is set to take place this Sunday, for the eighth year running.
The race, which will see competing solar vehicles racing against each other on roads in Nicosia city centre will begin at Stasikratous street at 10am.
The race will continue on Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue, Georgiou Griva Digeni Avenue, Dimostheni Severi Avenue, and Vasilissis Freiderikis street where the competition is expected to finish at 1pm.
At 1:30pm, the solar cars will head to the Nicosia town hall for the award ceremony at 2pm.
The Cyprus Institute Solar Car Challenge 2017 is co-organised by the Cyprus Institute and the Nicosia municipality.
