Injured in fall

A 37-YEAR-OLD contractor was taken to Nicosia General Hospital on Saturday after falling from a building whose construction he was supervising in the Paphos village of Geroskipou.

The 37-year-old Lebanese man lost his balance, falling from a height of 3.2 metres onto the ground floor at about 7.50am, police said. He was in the middle of a conversation with the building’s owner.

Paphos hospital’s doctors referred him to Nicosia general hospital because of the severity of his injuries to his head and elsewhere on his body.
